It is important that update.php is run every time a module is updated to a newer version.
You can find all administration tasks belonging to a particular module on the administration by module page.

Okay, this is so obvious that I can't believe it doesn't already exist. But I've searched my site and drupal.org, and I haven't found a solution.
I want to find (or create) a block that indicates to the user that s/he is currently logged in as XXXXX. For some time I assumed that the login block performed this function, changing to the user's login name once the password and id were submitted.
